Roman Catholic Church!
We know that Catholics today are facing unprecedented challenges in their spiritual and religious lives. Here at St. James, we hope to build a unity founded on truth, clearly delivered, to help alleviate the confusion that is too often found around us. As Thomas McKenna, Founder and President of Catholic Action for Faith and Family, has noted: “Moral norms once taken for granted have been blurred and even forgotten. Catholics vote like their non-Christian neighbors. Many do not know the Church’s teachings on doctrinal and moral issues. Those who do know often do not understand. Compounding matters, high profile figures profess to be Catholic but publicly promote disobedience to Christ’s teaching. Many faithful are left confused and look for advice they can trust.”
“The Popes Against Modern Errors” is a powerful book and consists of a compilation of 16 Papal documents, the work of six different Popes. Though anything but light reading, these writings help us see the political and social errors which have spread for the past two centuries, wreaking havoc on the world.
Fr Koys has agreed to offer commentary on these Papal documents to assist our understanding of them, and to help us speak out against those errors today. The series will ulitmately encompass 7-8 articles, the first of which can be found below. Please check back on this page often for updates.
