Join us as we begin a 33-day preparation for Marian Consecration. Individual daily preparation will begin on Monday, November 6. Our consecration will take place on Friday, December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
Our formal preparation will consist of an initial meeting on Monday, November 6, a mid-session question and answer meeting on Monday, November 27, and our Consecration on Friday, December 8. Participants will read daily from, “Preparation for Total Consecration to the Immaculate” according to Saint Maximilian M. Kolbe and have the opportunity to join a GroupMe chat in order to share observations, reflections and build a community during this time of preparation. Families and groups of friends are encouraged to participate together.
All participants will receive a beautiful certificate to commemorate their consecration. There is no cost to participate in the program - booklets are donated by a generous donor.
Monday, November 6, 7:30pm - 8pm (kick-off) – St. James Church. You will be able to ask any initial questions you have about Marian Consecration and our program at St. James. We will also have booklets ready to pass out. Attendance is not mandatory, and booklets can also be picked up in the back of church on Sunday, November 5.
Monday, November 27, 7:30pm - 8pm (check-in) – St. James Church. Informal question and answer session. Bring any questions that may have come up during the daily reading. Attendance is not mandatory.

Roman Catholics believe that it is important to have Jesus in our lives. Through Marian Consecration we open our lives to Jesus in a total and comprehensive manner. It is through Mary that we learn truly what, “Do whatever He tells you” means. It is through Mary that we learn to live in God’s Will for us rather than our own. It is Mary who teaches us: “Let it be done to me according to your word”. Marian Consecration helps us to walk the “road that is straight” and enter through, “the door that is narrow” to enjoy eternal life with the Holy Trinity, with Mary and Joseph, and with all of the angels and saints. Marian Consecration helps us to make sense of our lives.
